          I think text messaging is a big waste of time and energy. I do not text at all. I really think texting has someplace, just not in our classrooms. I see people walking around texting the person right next to them. That sort of thing makes me very angry. Then there are those people who actually talk as though they are texting, saying things like LOL or OMG. Honestly, you must have a very basic understanding of the human language if your forced to text talk.

I am a very fast reader so I’m not actually reading the same book I was at the beginning of the tri. The book I am reading now is Wyrm, Its about the whole y2k scare and how all the computers were going crazy. The book is entirely fictional though, good thing for it was written in 1997. The hero is a virus killer named Micheal Arcangelo who is trying to debug a highly advanced computer built to play chess against the Grandmasters. But soon the Goodknight virus starts appearing on other computers and Micheal and his team of computer wizards must try to stop it before it takes over the world.

Why are people so concerned about kids’ safety when they’re using the Internet?

So that they don’t give out their personal information and get abducted or something of equally gruesome outcome.

What do you think/how do you feel about the year ahead, knowing that you will be using a blog a lot in English class?

I’m not really into the idea alot but it is something different, which could be good or bad.

Before I actually write about the book I’m reading, I have to comment on the fact that blogging is alot like real journalism without all the hassles of plagorism or facts.
The book I am reading is The Last Days of Krypton by Kevin J. Anderson. I am about 200 pages in.
